Leaders with Albuquerque Interfaith held the public school district accountable for capital spending when officials attempted to subordinate classroom funding for an unnecessary $30 million district training facility. Building on a two-year reprieve won earlier in the year, Albuquerque Interfaith succeeded in reclaiming almost all the money for investment in classroom construction and renovation.

After organizing "Know Your Rights" and Immigration Reform Academies based on the stories and facts of immigration with hundreds of participants, 450 leaders organized an Accountability Assembly with Congressional, County Commission, and Sheriff candidates. They secured commitments from both Sheriff candidates to refrain from enforcing immigration law at church or schools, thus protecting unauthorized immigrants as they act in public life.

Both County Commission candidates at the assembly (who subsequently won election) committed to work with AI on a workforce development project which focuses on long-term training in Albuquerque.
